(for your children)

Equine Assisted Learning is a way of addressing personal goals through experiences with horses.

Our Equine Assisted Learning programs provide a safe environment for children to self-explore, build self-awareness of patterns, behaviours and habits, for the intention of personal development and social-emotional learning. All children of any age will gain valuable tools to take into their journey through life, helping to become stronger communicators and listeners and strengthening resilience and understanding of themselves as well as others.

We can provide programs that include grooming, touching, meeting and/or observing horses, obstacle challenges and in some instances mounted experiences.

Mums n Daughters

A conversation between mum and daughter can be challenging at the best of times. Even with the best of intentions it can feel like you are communicating in different languages and can end with anger, frustration and resentment towards each other. Technology is affecting how we communicate and sometimes sharing feelings and thoughts can feel hard to do.

Son Connection

Anger, resentment and frustration stem from either a misunderstanding or a miscommunication.  Nearly every time, if the ‘unknown’ is explored, the conflict is avoided and temperatures are much cooler.  It makes it particularly difficult if both you and your son are not unpacking this ‘unknown’ and your communication is suffering.  This is when animal assisted learning intervenes.   The animals contribute to observations and help participants ‘see’ their behaviours.. Technology is changing how we communicate and sometimes sharing feelings and thoughts can feel hard to do in person.  It may feel as though your teenager is living in another world and you may be wondering how you both are becoming disconnected. These two days will help work through those struggles and offer tools for you both moving forwards.

Pony Play School Holiday Program

The school holiday program is a fun and engaging day for children from the ages of 7 and upwards.  Children spend time with the horse herd, brushing, caring, sharing space, leading and feeding.  Arriving for 10am with morning tea provided on arrival children then meet the ponies and learn a little about their communication and behaviours introducing them to the way of the horse.  Children develop a sensitivity to their body language, building an understanding of non-verbal communication in each other and themselves.
